Team Tarro History & Mission

Team Tarro was incorporated in 2008 and in its inaugural year, it sponsored both a wine tasting and the First Annual “Walk Through the Park”. The Team sponsored the second wine tasting in 2009, and the “Walk Through the Park” continues yearly. Since 2008, Team Tarro has donated $105,000.00 to the Anne C. Pappas Breast Imaging Center and $90,000.00 to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (see your donations at work). This is truly amazing, considering the modest beginning of the Team, as a group of people walking together one cold October morning!

Mary died on May 11, 2009, surrounded by her family. Her spirit, strength and positive attitude remain as an inspiration to us. Team Tarro, Inc. is part of her legacy, and the Team Members continue to raise money for research and early detection of breast cancer.

On June 10, 2009, Team Tarro, Inc. was awarded the Rhode Island Hospital President’s Pursuit of Excellence Award in recognition of its continued success in raising funds.
